FAI Police and Law Enforcement Operations

Airport Police and Fire Officers (APFOs) are State Certified Law Enforcement Officers whom provide

all police functions for the Fairbanks International Airport and routinely assist other state and local law enforcement agencies within Fairbanks and surrounding area. APFOs proactively patrol the Fairbanks International Airport Terminal, airport area of operations and perimeter, and State properties in the vicinity of the airport.

Officers have general powers of arrest and enforce Federal and State laws as well as municipal ordinances and airport regulations. Airport Police have a challenging and extremely diverse law enforcement function and get to experience a myriad of unique public safety challenges.
