Protection of the environment is an important issue at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC). Over the last ten years ANC has embarked on an aggressive environmental program with an emphasis on preventing pollution at the source through employee and tenant education and training. ANC has environmental programs covering protection and cleanup of land, air and water resources. ANC's environmental staff works constantly to identify and implement innovative measures to reduce impacts of airport operations on the environment. It is the policy of Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport to support sustainable development of the airport through sound environmental practices.
