First Membership Meeting, July 10th

The first membership meeting will be July 10th, 11:00am-Noon. The agenda is available at http://www.itsalaska.org/. [see calendar] If you'd like to add something to the agenda, please contact Jill Sullivan, Secretary. We welcome news, announcements or information about ITS projects!

We will have central meeting places for the membership meetings. In Anchorage, please meet at ADOT&PF MSCVE office, 11900 Industry Way. In Juneau, please meet at ADOT&PF Headquarters, 3132 Channel Drive, 2nd floor.

We do not have a teleconference line. Please provide your phone # if you will not be at one of the specified central locations.

National Rural ITS Conference 2008

ITS Alaska members receive a $50 discount from their conference registration. Register
by August 4th!

North to the Future logoNRITS 2008 will be held at the Hotel Captain Cook in Anchorage, September 3-5th. The conference will draw about 300 participants, from over 25 states, and provide a dynamic forum for participants to connect and share information on technology solutions for small urban, rural and remote communities. Participants include multi-modal transportation specialists from federal, state and local government agencies and the private sector; national and international research scientists and engineers; and those affiliated with non-profit organizations and political affairs. You won't want to miss this rich program: field trips, ITS training, special transit & commercial vehicle tracts, vendor display area, and keynote speakers!

The first annual ITS Alaska membership meeting will occur during this event, September 5th!

Membership Benefits
Since January 2008 ITS Alaska has 13 members! Thanks to all the members joining the newly formed Chapter. Benefits to members include:

 

Annual membership meetings - the first annual membership meeting will be held 1:30pm, September 5th, at the Hotel Captain Cook during the National Rural ITS Conference. This will be your chance to meet other members, exchange ideas and information, form partnerships and discuss ways to further develop the Chapter.

Logos on the ITS Alaska website - this benefit is for our Organization and Corportate level members. All members get their names posted online.

Discounts to ITS Alaska hosted conferences, meetings and training events. This year discount is $50 off NRITS 2008 registration.

Participation in regularly scheduled membership meetings! This is also a change to discuss your own news & events!

ITS Alaska has 5 board members which are governed by the Chapters bylaws. The Board manages and controls all property, affairs, and business of ITS Alaska. Board members serve a term of two years and meet three times per year.
