Visit Valdez for the Thompson Pass Snowkite and Airsport Festival. Every day brings different weather to Thompson Pass near Valdez, Alaska. Some days are windy some days are calm. On the no wind and light wind days there will be speedriding and paragliding off the 5000ft+ mountains surrounding Thompson Pass. Speedriding and acrobatic demonstrations/competitions will be a spectator must see!

Through the month of April, the Alaska Hummingbird Festival celebrates the return of migratory birds back to Alaska. The most notable bird at this festival is the Rufous hummingbird, who begins arriving in Ketchikan in mid-March. The festival includes guided hikes, art shows, activities for children, and many other birding events.

Join the Juneau Symphony for an exciting concert featuring old favorites, new works, and another local star performer. JSO Concertmaster Lisa Ibias will delight audiences with the "Dvorak Romance" for solo violin. Next will be the Alaska premiere of contemporary composer Dan Pinkston's "2nd Symphony," a work of sparkling textures and interesting colors rich with folk, jazz, and classical influences. The concert will conclude with the towering "Mozart Requiem," featuring the JSO Chorus in this favorite masterwork for choir and orchestra. Come an hour early for a pre-concert conversation with conductor Kyle Wiley Pickett.

The Ketchikan Area Arts & Humanities Council presents yMusic a sextet of young performers with the virtuosity of classical musicians and the attitude of an indie rock band. The group composes, improvises, arranges, and collaboratively bridges the classical and pop music worlds. Members have toured with musicians such as Jay-Z, the New York Philharmonic, Grizzly Bear, Yo-Yo Ma, David Byrne and Rufus Wainwright.

Written in Mad Men-era 1960, this Tony award winning comedy follows the misadventures of Bernard, an American playboy living in Paris who has one Italian, one American and one German flight attendant fiancee. He juggles their "layovers" until Boeing's new 707 jet shortens flight times and unscheduled arrivals put all three ladies in his apartment at the same time. Turbulence follows, convincing Bernard that one woman is all he can handle.
