Net proceeds from the sale of KACO's 2014 King Derby tickets will be used by the Kodiak Regional Aquaculture Association for costs directly related to king salmon enhancement projects accessible to sport fishers on the Kodiak Island archipelago.

The Halibut Derby is back! The Department of Parks, Culture and Recreation along with Pacific Stevedoring Incorporated is holding the 4th of July Unalaska Halibut Derby. This wonderful event will fire off at 6:00am at the beautiful Carl E. Moses Boat Harbor. Fishermen and fisherwomen will have the chance to take home the big cash prize! All participants must check in before heading out to fish. Only one fish per boat and all fish for weighing must be back at the Carl E. Moses boat launch by 4:00pm. The prizes will be given according to gross weight.

Visit Valdez for the Silver Salmon Derby. Fishing for silvers in Valdez is a great sport. With the Solomon Gulch Hatchery releasing millions of Coho fry each year, the silvers swim right past Valdez and are fairly easy to catch either from shore or by trolling by boat.
