The Juneau Symphony presents "American Brilliance." The highly acclaimed Wesley Schulz will seek to capture your heart with music that both soothes and thrills. We begin with Pulitzer Prize winner, Kevin Puts’ fanfare, Millennium Canons, which was composed to celebrate the dawning of a new era. The mood will turn somber for John Corigliano’s delicate Elegy, before pianist Johan Botes closes the first half of the concert with Gershwin’s dazzling Rhapsody in Blue. Dvorak’s inspirational American Suite will open the second half of the program, while Tchaikovsky’s intoxicating Capricco Italian, will leave you breathless to the end of this program of pure orchestral brilliance.
