This project is being managed by the Alaska Department of Transportation & Public Facilites– Alaska Marine Highway System. The Alaska Class Ferry project is being overseen by representatives of the:

  • DOT&PF Alaska Marine Highway System
    • Including shore side managers and selected vessel crew
  • The Alaska Class Working Group
    • A collaborative team of DOT&PF managers representing other DOT projects affiliated with or affected by the Alaska Class Ferry project
  • The Marine Transportation Advisory Board (MTAB)
  • Elliott Bay Design Group (Vessel Designer)
  • Grady and Associates (Public Involvement Specialist)

The general public, local governments, unions, environmental groups, and other known affected stakeholders are being actively informed of progress. AMHS has conducted community meetings and is updating this website as discussed on the Public Involvement page.
